Default How far is SW Austin (Shady Hollow for ex.) from downtown Austin?

In miles? From Slaughter/MoPac to 6th/Congress is about 10 miles. If you are asking about commute time - without traffic, about 20 minutes, with traffic, anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes.

Thanks for your response. I'm just trying to learn the lay of the land I assume that areas in the Round Rock ISD are further from downtown, right?

I make the drive up through Shady Hollow everyday to Bee Caves Rd. My wife goes downtown. It's very easy. Trainwreck20 is right on. 20 minutes if you leave at 7am. If you wait until 7:30, then 30...40-50 if there's rain or a wreck (which is pretty rare compared to I35).

From Balcones Country Club Drive and 183 to 6th and Congress is just under 15 miles...

...so its further but the commute time would be the same.
