My family is moving to Austin and deciding between 2 properties, one in Barton Hills and one in Zilker. We have kids, but I understand both schools are pretty good, and both homes are very close to the respective elementary schools. I'd prefer a more walkable neighborhood, and it looks like Zilker may be more walkable, but is the difference anything that's going to matter on a day to day basis? Assuming everything else about the properties is equal, what else we should be considering when deciding between the two?

Thanks very much for any feedback!

Tomayto, tomahto. Toyoto Camry, Honda Accord.

No significant difference at all. Choose based on the individual property, street, precise location etc. Both are good school, Barton Hills is smaller but goes to 6th grade. Both have dynamic, involved parent communities.

Don't wait too long, homes in both areas tend to go very fast.

Thanks - that's what I figured, but good to have confirmation!
