My husband is there for business and I will be flying down Wednesday to meet with our realtor and different builders in the Round Rock area. We have friends who live in Round Rock and love it, they have been there for 4 years now.

We are looking at the Terevistas on Thursday, any input on this development??? Looking at builders online has been sooooo overwhelming! Our favorites so far are Drees and Texas Big.

I would appreciate any tips before coming...thanks so much!!!

Teravista is a great community, that is about to experience a big boom. As long as you go into it knowing that things are more spread out right now (it doesn't have a grocery super close - have to drive into main RR or 1431) and realize that there will be some growing pains w/ congestion till things are more built out... you won't be disappointed!

A lot of outlet stores. Teravista basically backs up to the new outlets and IKEA. So yes, a lot of shopping...

But, for your daily - weekly needs (target, walmart, grocery) you will have to drive elsewhere.

They will get an HEB (local grocery) I am sure of it - but when? No one knows.... ask the people in Hutto

A Costco is coming "sometime"....

Check out Paloma Lake while you are in the area. A nice new development with house prices in ranges from 140 to 600 thousand (if I recall correctly). So there is something for everyone. I think there are also several different builders down in the area too. Terravista is a nice area. (we go by there daily. The kids' school i s right across the street.) It is close to 35, but I think it is just too big of a development for us. JMO

If you are looking at TerraVista, dont overlook the West side of Round Rock that consists of Behrens Ranch, Sendero Springs, Walsh Trails and MayField Ranch. All of those are in the same area and priced close to TerraVista. Good Luck with your decision! If you have any questions about the area you are definetly in the right place.

we are looking into other subdivisions as well....my friend lives in Behrens Ranch and loves it!! We want to stay between $300-350 maximum as we would like to install an inground pool the following year. Taxes are somewhat comparable as to what we pay here in some areas.

I just wish you could bring your "sales tax" down here.
