Default Short term rentals

Looking for resources to help find short term rentals in the central Austin area. We are in the midst of building a home and will be between homes for 2-3 months.

Apartment or home is fine, would need 2 bed/2 bath and needs to allow cats. For a reasonable price ;-).

Guess I just go to an apt locator? Do some specialize in short term rentals? What kind of premium will I pay for a short lease? Do furnished apts exist so I can just store all my furniture?

Any info is appreciated

When we relocated to Austin for a job last year our relo company put us up in temp/corporate housing. I believe the company they used was called CWS corporate housing.

It was furnished and included utilities, cable, internet. I had to extend it past our benefit period b/c our house wasn't ready yet and believe it was about $2250 a month for a 2 bed in a fairly new complex in Round Rock.

Many apartment complexes will have a "homebuyer" program where you pay a little more each month than long term renters, but have the flexibility to get out without penalties.
