Have you worked with Drees homes on a Build on your own Lot home?

Curious to see what your experience was and compare notes.
I'd like to see if anyone is having similar experience as us.

Thanks very much.

I am curious to know what your experience has been like? Has it been good, bad or a mixed bag?

No experience building with Drees, but have toured a few homes built by them. Cookie cutter McMansions as well as high-end homes ($750 K+) in both NE (RR) and SW corners of the Austin metro.

One McMansion we considered carefully was of very good build quality and built 10 yrs ago. But at 4,000* sq ft, it had NO built-in closets whatsoever. The laundry room (which imho is the strategic entryway) was tiny at 40 sq ft.

It appears that the McMansion era is bygone but the finish-outs in higher-end houses are much nicer these days.

* i used to be amused about houses this size until we came to live in Texas.

No experience with BOYL, but I have had experiences with BYOB! ;-)

But, in all seriousness, hope things go well with building the new home :-).
