The main "benefit" of Ohio would be you get an occasional break, but when it does heat up, it's of the Southeast variety.

Austin has many more hotter days but the hottest days have winds from the Southwest and are drier.

When Ohio gets cold fronts, it is far superior there and that skews the averages.
Those are July numbers. They come from weatherspark which has comprehensive charts of all of this data.

And again, the OP stated OHIO, not any specific city. So, at best, they would be trading up to slightly more humid and much hotter weather. At worst, they'll be relocating to hell. The fact based conclusion: one cannot move to Austin from anywhere in Ohio to escape humidity. To believe so-- or argue that point -- is laughable.

Fair enough. I'm not going to argue. I still believe we are hotter but drier than Ohio in the summer but if you are looking to escape humidity Austin is probably not the best place to do it.

So glad I got a lesson on the difference between an Ohio and an Austin climate in a thread about traffic.

Which is even funnier when put into context. Comparing weather patterns of an entire state, which includes Great Lakes shoreline to mid-south weather patterns to a single city and believing the comparison will be accurate...
