Which is a better area to move to in terms of affordability, school districts, future developments, etc.? Downtown area isn't a high priority but the Domain area, Lakeline, and north Austin are a bit more important when it comes to accessibility.

Is Hutto worth considering?

Round Rock versus Manor? RR comes out on top on almost every measure, Manor will be more affordable.

What is your budget? Round Rock is more developed and in most cases, pricier. Hutto is definitely on the upswing.

Not really trying to go past 215K for a starter home.

Its going to cost you more than 215K to live in Siena, their cheapest model is 211K, you need to add the price of upgrades, like the tile, carpet those are additional costs unless you go with the builder grades.

I would look at Hutto, I would probably not buy in Manor if you have children since schools aren't rated as well as Round Rock.

Look at a resale they have already added fans, ceramic tiles, appliances, many have upgraded cabinets. Just my opinion.

In my opinion, Round Rock followed by Hutto.

Hutto is worth considering, as is Cedar Park/Leander for accessibility to those areas. Even parts of Georgetown are a possibility. What are you looking for exactly in a home? I see your price range is $215,000 and below.

What made you focus on Round Rock/Manor?

I originally wanted a new home in Pflugerville, but the prices are much higher. The next three feasible options seemed to be either RR, Hutto, or Manor. I'm open to other areas as well, just didn't want to move too far north either.

As far as a home, I want a three bedroom house with at least 1500-1600 sqft. I always like to think in terms of resale as well. I don't have any kids right now, but sometimes the school district is a reflection of the area. I also want to stay in an area that doesn't seem too far away from shopping areas such as the Domain and Lakeline as well as DT for entertainment purposes.

I understand this may be impossible given my price range, but it was worth a shot to ask.

Can you get a resale in your price range in Pflugerville? That seems to meet most of your criteria.
