Austin is a tolerant town and I cannot imagine anyone being treated badly for their mixed marriage. That is why I have raised my children here, I do not believe anyone should be judged by their race or ethnicticity. We are mixed here and we welcome you!

We are also a biracial family we moved here from California. You will have no issues, nor will your children. We live in Steiner Ranch which is North West Austin in Hill Country and we never experience anything. Now ocassionally if we go up to Dallas or into Williamson County we may get a stare now and then, but that happens everywhere.

Traffic was not a big deal from me, coming from California. But people around here complain from time to time about it.

Property taxes...works out the same if you consider the fact that there is no State Income Tax.

Job Market...depends. It has been great for my husband and I...but it depends on your industry, I guess.

you two will fit right in with austin.It is a diversified city Race wise and music wise.this is the only place that i have lived that you can go see live music say tejano(mexican) and see asian ,white,and black people there.or go see reagee or jazz and see hispanics and asains.and they are all friendly too
