As I sit here and think about it, I realize that I have been reading Kelso columns almost my whole 'newspaper' life - I started reading the AAS sometime in the 70s and I can't recall a time when he wasn't in there......

I liked his writing and was sad to hear this - he is certainly a part of Austin history.

I think he would surely chuckle at the "promoted" stories under his obit.
