I can't stand people like him with their provincial mindsets. If he thinks Austin is that bad, then just leave and move to NYC or LA. I'm assuming he's desperate for attention and just wants to vent. I agree that NYC is a fun place, but all that comes at a price and with much more stress, when compared to Austin.

I think the author, Michael Corcoran, should focus on the content that would be in his "Mediocre Writer" column. He'd have a lot to work with, starting with "finger pointing critic with superiority complex".
