Possible move to Austin?!?
Hello. I'm new to this site. Me and my boyfriend are looking at moving to Austin, Texas sometime in April. We are in North Carolina now and have only been here for 6 months. We are just wanting to do some traveling and see different places before settling down some where. He's in marketing and I'm in education. Just wondering if anyone has any information on a nice and safe location to live in Austin (apartment wise) as well as good paying jobs in the marketing and education field. I would appreciate any help you guys may have to offer. Thank you!

Hi there. I have been researching my move to Austin very thoroughly for the longest time. Well, I am finally here! I came from ca, and I was worried about whether I would like Texas or not. I love Austin! i have made friends already, and I love the place where I live. Northwest Austin is very nice, and if you want nice, and affordable, try being between 7-14 miles away from the actual downtown part. This way, you are close to things, and you can have a nice affordable place. Try also IMT at Anderson Mill. After looking around at nearly every place that was available for rent, the IMT are the most affordable and the nicest. Very pet friendly too. Please make sure you check out IMT, I looked around forever it seemed like, and all of the other places were less nice, less spacious, and more expensive. I am pretty close to everything. Try giving it a shot. Call this guy, he is the one that helped me here. His name is Matt VanCourt, and he is the leasing person for these apartments. His number is 512-258-2810. Tell him that Jennifer Davis told you to call, I am sure he will know me.
Oh, and the pool is crazy! I love it! I have big kitchen with modern cabinets. I think I have a better understanding of what modern is too. I am 23, and if their version of "modern" is didn't impress me, I would have went somewhere else. lol. hey have black fridge, comes with laundry hookups too, and the rooms are huge.

What does IMT stand for? Is there a website where I can view the property and apts?

My boyfriend and I are moving to Austin in August and I've been looking on austin.craigslist.com. From there, some of the real estate people have links to personal websites, there are e-mail addresses of people to contact and some people even offering a free service to apartment hunt for you. I'd try that, if you haven't already. Good Luck!
