I also preferred the Anderson Road location even though it was farther from me. I bet that the Treehouse ate their lunch when it comes to the high-end hardware market! And I don't think the Breed & Co loyalists ever switched over.

Why have I not heard of Treehouse?! I just checked out their website and ! I love everything. Thank you for mentioning it.

For those who don't care to study up on the types of products they sell and are willing to pay for "expertise"(rather than trusting the internet), that type of store can be quite handy(and spendy) if you are looking to go 'green' or are interested in the latest energy-saving goodies and systems out there. For example, they had the NEST thermostat darned near the first day it was available...at full MSRP. The market took only weeks to increase distribution so that you could save a pretty penny buying from a variety of sources.

I'll admit that I didn't think the concept could sustain a retail location(great ideas are always good business). The jury is still out, despite their expansion plans.

I think the stuff they offer is cool as heck; but...

I agree. It's a bit on the trendy and overpriced side, but I'd like to go to get ideas and just browse. It's like a candy store. If I find a good deal, I might purchase; otherwise, I plan to play with all the gadgets and have fun.

I just didn't know the store existed. I'll add it to my repertoire of all the "they've lost their daggone mind, but I'll still go look around" stores.

I can't believe I let that typo slip through....too late to edit.

Mrs. JT...I'd likely stop by from time to time IF it relocated about 20 miles to the north!

They have more gimmicks and toys than actual hardware
