I'm a native, was in my mid-40's before I had ANY allergies. Once they started (started with a wasp allergy), now it's multiple (and I've been miserable for the past month).

I have been here for 13 years and its been miserable at times. My asthma flares up alot during Cedar season, but mold also kicks up my asthma. When I lived in Las Vegas i had few problems with allergies except for olive trees.

agree wholeheartedly with above two posters. Austin is terrible for anyone with allergies. I didn't ever have such severe symptoms from allergies that impacted my daily life until I moved here.

Allergies in Austin can be miserable. I did not have any allergies until after living here for a couple of years.

Cedar is usually the worst, but this year we have had enough light rains during the usually bad cedar season to keep the pollen count down.

I thought maybe it was just me. I've been run down for the past couple of weeks. I was taking Flonase thinking that would be enough. I went to the Costco in Pflugerville last week, and while I was there, I asked the pharmacist. She was telling me that I also need an Antihistamine in addition to the Flonase (I thought that's what Flonase was?).
