Are in the Calder cup championship! Best of 7 and they won today tieing the series at 1-1. It’s a best of 7 series for those not familiar and they play the next 3 games at home starting this Tuesday night at 7! Pretty awesome. The games are a blast for those of you who have never been I’d encourage y’all to check them out. With or without kids it’s a blast.

Agreed. And one of the things I love about Austin.

Minor league and college athletics are far better than the big league versions. Particularly with a family.

I will say that I have never had a bad time at an nhl/nfl game. Haven’t been to a UT football game yet (due to its professional like prices) but I wouldn’t imagine that the atmosphere would be far better for a family then a professional game. In many cases stadiums have areas throughout the stadium that is geared towards kids (Falcons new stadium etc).

I was going to say maybe environment may be a little less “hostile” at times but again have a hard time imagining that the red river show down or any game really doesn’t bring out the clowns at UT.

Both teams are in very healthy shape. Dallas has Benn (a product of Texas stats), seguin, Klingberg (again played with Texas), Bishop, radulov and those are all star players not inlcluding the other supporting cast which is deep and has Texas Stars scattered throughout the lineup. With the new coach taking over this year from Denver we will see how what happens this season after a very disappointing season this year.

Texas has seen a ton of success in the short span they’ve been here and have really become a staple in the community up here. We love our Stars. We have season tickets and have developed friendships with other season ticket holders throughout the past few seasons. Toronto s a great team and it’s already been/wil continue to be an exciting series! Hope they bring Home Calder cup #2.

We went to game 5 on Saturday. It was a disappointing loss but the kids had a blast. Stars are looking good for game 7!

It probably was the TV feed, the games are televised on FSSW and yeah, the commentators are not the best. Not that I could do better, but...

Just to confirm.

You’ve managed to find a way to dig out the negative of a radio broadcast for a minor league hockey team?

Get some help.

Get some help.
As compared to you, that read an innocuous post on a hockey broadcast and determined someone needed 'help'?
