Hard to say, since 57 covers Allandale and a couple/three/four other neighborhoods as well to the south section of the zip code.

Getting around is interesting as a LOT of folks do it...using Anderson Lane, Burnet, Shoal Creek and creating plenty of vehicle traffic. However, Shoal Creek Blvd is one of the most popular cycling routes in the city, so it's not ALL motor vehicles.

You can find just about the entire spectrum of (normal) home prices; but that spectrum starts pretty high.

The closer you get to 78758 the less desirable the area becomes. There are more lower income areas snd the schools performance ratings dip a bit. If schools are important make sure your schools are zoned for Lamar and McCallum snd big Burnet snd Kanier. Burnet snd Lanier are trying their best but they’re just not there yet. Burnet is also very overcrowded. The elementary is hit or miss and have similar issues. Getting downtown though, isn’t that bad. So, it’s six of one and half dozen if another in my opinion.
