Lakeway area - where to go for 7-yr-old birthday boy?
Hello,
I'm struggling to find a place for my son's birthday party. I'm fairly new to the area, and don't know what's available around Lakeway for boys' parties. Please help!!!!
Thanks,

Lakeway community pool
They have a birthday party package and it so reasonable. It even includes party favors and the cake!

Which one are you refering to? I called the one with 3 swimming pools. However, it doesn't allow parties until end of May, while I need April. Too bad! Hopefully you're talking about something else.

It is, sorry, here's other suggestions:
There is a Young Chef's Academy on FM620 by Chair King. Here is the website:
Young Chefs Academy of Lakeway, TX
The Lakeway Aquatics on Lohman's Crossing has swimming party options:
Lakeway Aquatic Therapy & Wellness Center
If you don't mind having a party at your house and you have a large backyard, you can rent ponies. There is a company in Georgetown that can bring up to 3 ponies. They are a hit if you do a cowboy theme!
You can rent inflatables if you have a large yard. Some people actually have it set-up in the front yard. If it is a warm day, you can get an inflatable with a slide and has a small pool at the end. Here is one company:
Jump For Fun Moonwalks, Austin Moonwalks, Austin Inflatables, Austin Bounce Houses, Round Rock Moonwalks
Good luck!

We did a simple BBQ at Lakeway Park. filled up like a 100 water balloons and let the boys go at it. Did some other games and they swam.

It's a great idea, too. I'll let my son think about it.
Thanks,

my boys (now 13 and 11) have been having (& going to) birthday parties at Blazer Tag since they were 7 (which I think is the recommended youngest age).
You should definitely go & check it out (you can play individually) prior to making a decision.

Happy Birthday!

I was thinking about Blazer Tag as well. However, we have quite a few cousins who are 3-4 yrs old range, and they probably won't enjoy it that much. Too bad!

We did Blazer tag one year also. It is was a lot of fun. A bit of a drive but if you have the vehicle(s) to accomodate the guest list it's worth it.
