I'll put in another vote for Jack Allen's Kitchen. Can make a meal from just a couple of appetizers.

I see you live in Avery Ranch, have you ever tried Moonshine? I tried it the other day and had a bad experience. The food wasn't that good either.

DW has been there a couple of times and enjoyed it. I've not been there. More hoopla than I care for.

Interestingly, Z Tejas is RE-opening in Avery Ranch in a few months...in the spot previously occupied by Rotten Bunch.

Interesting tidbit...Z Tejas WAS in the building now occupied by Moonshine.

I saw that they were reopening in Avery Ranch. Z-Tejas is one of those restaurants that has stood the test of time. I like being able to go to a restaurant and get the same level of quality and service each time. Z-Tejas delivers that.

We had company and they wanted to take us out for Mexican so my husband suggested Flores. Good choice. Their furthest north location on 620 (4 Points) is only a 15-20 minute drive and even though there are closer Mexican restaurants, Flores is worth the drive!

The "new" location has quite an interesting patio out back; but I think the interior seating area will be much smaller than the previous location across the street. Let's hope they can make the rent!!

We will certainly try it.
We went there several years ago before it was Rotten Bunch - can’t recall its original name.

Have you ever tried Dos Salsas up on 1431?

Between Via313 and Home Slice Pizza .. .. any preference?
I’m partial to NY style so Home Slice... Via is very good though, just not my go-to pizza style.

It’s been a while, but the best I have had in Austin of the east-coast style is Hoboken Pie. The location doesn’t make it practical to get it regularly, but I did like it a lot.
