My family and I are coming to Austin since I just landed a job at NCSoft near 360 and 2222. We're very excited.

I know that people can be fanatical about their wireless provider, but I was just checking to see if either there was a carrier that is AWESOME there in Austin or if there are any that are just plain crappy.

I'll be able to jettison our current provider if there's a better one in the area (coverage wise).

Thanks!

Dan

You can probably find people who love their carrier, and other people who hate the same carrier. I will say that there are some small areas that get better covereage with one provider over another, but there will be another area where the carrier quality is reversed. I have Cingular (used to be an AT&T customer), and I have had what I consider acceptable if not spectacular quality.

I know that cellular experience is a combination of the coverage map and the particular phone you are using.

We use Cingular now, so I'm happy to hear positive things about the coverage.

Sprint service here, never had any gripes with their coverage area or reception. A few dropped calls over the years but not anything to whine about.
