Many people get the flu and never go to the Dr. Those cases are not likely to get reported.

What is WITH these government officials who never put on a mask and no social distancing? Following the lead of their great king I guess. Could they sit any closer?

HopDoddy is currently allowing people to sit outside it seems. They're still closed on the inside.

Has anyone heard when DPS offices will open? I have a 15 year old who is chomping at the bit to get her learner's permit, and it would be a great time to take her out driving. Just need the piece of paper.

Not sure but for a bit of comic relief, Georgia just dropped the requirement to take a drivers test amid the Pandemic making it so you can practically walk in and just get one.

I saw that! Unfortunately, I can't just give her a permit LOL. I wish we could submit the paperwork online. She has the certificate saying she completed the required classes, she has the proof of enrollment from her school, and she has her birth certificate. But we have to actually bring it in person. They don't do anything more than look at it and give her a permit. Don't see why we can't do that online. Oh, and I have to give them my driver's license info, which I could also do online.

They're definitely on the right road to make records.

Anyhow I'm almost out of albuterol (chronic bronchitis) I need to get a refill but I can't help but wonder if the clinic is going to want me to get tested when I do.

© Bronte Wittpenn Breanna Smith, 28, shops with her friends Arjana Amataj, 28, Barrett Smith, 30, and Christina Garrison, 17, at the Domain North Side in Austin on Friday. Texas businesses are now allowed to open at 25% capacity during the first phase of Gov. Gregg… State health officials counted another 1,009 new confirmed coronavirus cases Sunday, creating a new streak of three consecutive days with at least 1,000 new cases.
The new cases bring the state's statewide total to 38,869.
The state's last streak of consecutive days with 1,000 or more cases lasted for four days between April 30 and May 3.

Health officials also recorded another 39 deaths Sunday, bringing the state's death toll up to 1,088.
The state's infection rate, which is the number of positive cases among those tested, rose slightly this weekend after two weeks of hovering around 6%. The infection rate rose from 5.9% on Friday to 6.8% on Saturday and 6.6% on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the number of patients being treated in hospitals for COVID-19 dropped by more than 100 patients between Saturday and Sunday after plateauing for several days last week. As of Sunday, 1,626 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized while 18,116 hospital beds and 1,954 ICU beds remain available.
It's been 10 days since Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the gradual reopening of Texas businesses amid the coronavirus outbreak. Saturday and Sunday marked the highest infection rate since the May 1 reopening order, which allowed all retail stores, malls, restaurants, movie theaters, libraries and museums to reopen at 25% capacity.
