Cool seeking information on Anderson Mill neighborhood

Does anyone have any information on living in the Anderson Mill area? I understand the schools are good and it seems nice for that price point. I'm looking at a small house for my 27-year old son and his soon-to-be bride. She will be able to work from any location, and he will be in grad school at UT.

Thanks for any and all comments.

I really like that area. The houses are mostly older ranch style, but the trees are very mature and there are a lot of good parks nearby. It's also got great access to shopping, 183, 620 and the toll road. It will be a bit of a drive to UT but if he's not going to be driving during rush hour it shouldn't be a problem.

It's generally considered a good area. It originally built out in the early 80's with modest family homes and then saw another boom in late 90's with some higher-end homes. It's quite a mix. There's everything from run-down looking duplexes to expensive mansion looking houses just blocks away from each other. But shopping is good and commute to downtown wouldn't be that terrible. Last I checked, schools were well rated over there.
