Default Westside at Buttercup Creek

We are moving to Austin this summer and a few houses on my house search are in Westside at Buttercup Creek. The only web site I can find does not have any pictures or a description of the things I am interested in learning more about. I would love to know...
-what do you like and dislike about this neighborhood?
-is there a web site I could access to see pictures of the pools, playgrounds, etc?
-what are the home prices on the low end as well as on the high end?
-is there a fitness center or YMCA nearby?
Thank you so very much!

Character,
I live 1/2 mile from WS. There are 2 different sections that are considered Westside. Most of them are really nice houses--some homes are approx 15 years old but in a section that was once considered "Buttercup". Most homes are ranging from $225,000-400,000. In the older section of "Buttercup" homes are around 135,000 and up. Do you know the name of the street that the houses are on? There is a brand new elementary school that will be opening this fall. As for a pool, some parts of Westside have access to 2 private pools with playscapes. There are 3 community pools with a 5 mile radius and lots of local parks with playscapes. There is a YmCa with a small outdoor pool and kiddie wading pool about 5 miles away. The area is nice and close to 2 lakes. We have live in the area for 5 years. Dislikes--fireants and scorpions! Hope the info helps.

Thank you, this is so helpful. I think the houses coming up on my search may be in the older section because I did a search on zillow and saw that although the houses I am looking at are around $200,000, the surrounding homes are in the mid $100,000's. I was a little concerned because I don't want to buy the most expensive home on the block. The community sounds great. I think we will go take a look when we are in town next week.
With great appreciation!
