Default alliance association managers

Okay, I read one poster's opinion of Alliance and did some searches on the web for other opinions and the ones I found were equally as bad. The only problem is they seem to manage the HOAs for a LOT of neighborhoods. Unfortunately most of the neighborhoods that don't limit the number of pets which I need. Anyone not feel totally screwed over by Alliance?

We are in an Alliance managed HOA, but so far our HOA is still basically in control (or seems to be ). No fines at all, no pet limits (beyond COA), pretty mild enforcement, although little obvious need for it currently. Oh, it is the Villages at Western Oaks.
