Hello Austin,
Been checking out the area and saw this fairly new subdivision. Anyone know anyone who lives in Highpointe between Dripping Springs and Austin? I saw it mentioned twice, favorably. Any other input on the southwest areas of Austin? Looking for newer home on large lot under $380K, must be out there somewhere!
Thanks in advance!

Large lot over 1ac? If so i would think their was something out that way. Also remember its the winter so their are less homes on the market.

actually, we would be happy with 1/3- .5 acre. Looks like they are still building there (Highpointe), but their site might not be updated.

I will look it up for you today. Sometimes those builders are proud of their lots so they ask a premier price and raises the total house cost.

From what I can recall there are only a couple houses in that price range in Highpointe. Seems like they have two houses about 2500 sq ft that start in the low 300s. The other houses are huge and will probably cost more than $380, once you add in the lot and all the extras. Also taxes out here are nuts, so be sure to check your property taxes. My guess is a medium or large home in Highpointe is probably taxed about $10K year, if you're lucky.

Check your PM's.. Also for the record their is one for 296k. Most are around the 400k mark.

I have a friend that lives in this neighborhood and he only has good thing to say about his house and area. He does complain about the amount of $ his wife spent on landscaping

Tax rate of 3.25 so for 400k its 14k a year also their HOA is $210. Sounds like they took a page out of RR and PF tax book.

That sounds about right, but their HOA is low. We pay more in Belterra. Hmmm.

I was just told today that there are a few homes available around $360K per one of the sales reps. Is the HOA really $210? And the tax rate 3.25??
