[SIZE=2]I have been reading a lot about montessori schools, but can't really afford to send my 3 year old son to one. We would really like to find out if there is any montessori teacher out there that does in-house visits, ie come over and set up the environment in my house, give tips on how to interact with my child etc. I live in northwest Austin (closer to Cedar Park). Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

There are great Montessori catalogs out there, that plus some books, you'll be fine. I love Montessori materials for kids but find the Montessori philosophy too rigid -- my kids have huge imaginations and love to use things in more than one way (the broom is also a bridge across the imaginary water!) -- so an intense Montessori school was not for us. But Montessori materials are great!!
