Cedar Park
We have fallen in love with the subdivision of Buttercup Creek area of Cedar Park (area north of the mall - near the Randalls shopping center). The area near the Cypress Creek main road that runs thru Cedar Park. While some of the homes are a little older, it seems to be a nice well kept up area.
Can anyone let me know if this area is truly a good area to move a family too?
Thanks!

It is an awesome area to live. Great schools and great neighbors. Also once the lightrail goes in, I only see property values increasing.

With all the family-friendly amenities and the school district, it's a great place for a family to move to.
And what Jenkirk said about the rail system. There are several areas in Austin that are going to benefit from that, as well.

Very family friendly. I suggest a home as close to Milburn Park as possible. They do lots of family stuff at that park. Movies in the park, fireworks, kite stuff, etc.

My wife and I are currently building in there and couldn't be more excited. Everyone we've met is great, and the new elementary school going in should be wonderful for families. I think its going to be a great area to be.

It's a nice area. Try to find a house which belongs to the City of Cedar Park limits if you can as there're multiple pockets which don't (MUD). That way your property taxes will be lower + some other benefits

There is a brand new elementary school being built right now. I think that area may be in the new school. Check the LISD website to be sure.
We live in cedar park. I like it a lot. Not too thrilled with the middle school, though. Otherwise, it's been nice. We're in Deer Creek which is not actually in Cedar Park, even though we are in Cedar Park. Meaning we have to pay to use the library ($35/year. Madness!)
