what to do tomorrow with teenagers
I've got my 16 year old niece and 14 year old nephew with me tomorrow, along with my 5 and 3 year old kids. I have several hours to kill. The teenagers are not the "fast" type - very wholesome - and like outdoorsy stuff. I haven't had to entertain the alien life form that is a teenager in awhile...any suggestions on what to do? We spent the day with them today at Zilker, renting canoes and eating at Shady Grove.
No malls, video arcades, or stuff like that. Want to stay within Austin metro.
Thanks

.... Oh and talk a stroll around Town Lake; Maybe rent a row boat, feed the ducks.

Gigi, I know you said outdoorsey stuff but I recommend the IMAX theater at Bob Bullock. It will cover all your age groups. There are several different films showing. Here's a link to the schedule:
IMAX Theatre schedule for the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum (!web calendar hosted by localendar.com)
On a side note, if you and your husband haven't seen the U2 IMAX film, definitely go!! It is fantastic. I'm also looking forward to seeing Shine the Light, the Martin Scorcese Rolling Stones movie. It's playing at Bob Bullock too.

Hamilton Pool
If you decide to try Hamilton Pool, make sure you call first, as the last couple times I have tried to go it has been closed due to high bacteria levels.

How about Ice Skating at Northcross Mall!
It is very refreshing on a hot day!
They have coupons on sk82bfree.com and you can check the schedule online at Chaparral Ice

that's what we did yesterday.
I like the Imax idea, it was one I was considering. Thanks for the suggestions. Is the museum there a bore for teenagers or worth a look?
