I am wondering if there are any new neighborhoods that will break ground in the next year or two in Round Rock. Is this information readily available? I would also like to know which builders have signed up to build in these new neighborhoods.

Pearson Ranch, which is basically the next phase of Avery Ranch, breaks ground in SEP08 between Avery Ranch Blvd and 620/45, just east of Parmer Lane:

Acres: 192

Price Range: $High 200Ks to $500K
Builders: Standard Pacific, Streetman Homes

Great, thanks! It looks like David Weekley may also build there.

Default Teravista is an excellent subdivision in Round Rock

I love Round Rock. Teravista is an excellent subdivision w/a golf course, located 15-20 min from Austin, with brand new and expanded interstate highways nearby. The house across the street was on the market lesss than 5 days, before being sold. This is a healthy neighborhood in terms of real estate sales, despite what is going on elsewhere nationally. Yet, the prices are still very reasonable. There are plenty of trees and nature within the enclosed community as well. Two brand new hospitals are 5 minutes away. The TSU is also located 10 min away, and Austin Community College will be opening up a campus in 2010, to be located on University Ave, 10 min away. There are new shopping centers. There is going to be tremendous growth in RR over the next 5 yrs...Austin-Round Rock is fast becoming a services oriented center of Texas, in addition to its rep as high tech industry center. Property taxes are higher, but Round Rock is also 13th safest city in the U.S (2007). In Texas, while there is no state tax, you know your property and local taxes are used to keep YOUR community safe and secure.

Are there any maps out there to see where exactly it's going to be built in respect to Avery Ranch homes with green belt lots (Morningside subdivistion). I have a green belt lot and around the corner my neighbor does also. My neighbor can see the construction site. I am wondering how close it's going to be.
