GreenPlastic is on a distinguished road
I'm a member of the South Lifetime Fitness. The mother did not leave the child unattended. From what I understand, she was also in the pool, playing with her other child. I don't want to go into specifics, but it does not sound like the LG was at fault. It was just a tragic accident.

That said, I have often thought that some of the lifeguards were not as diligent as they should be. Some do not seem to possess the maturity it requires to be a LG and were not nearly attentive enough. I have been to the pool twice since the accident (including today) and safety is not a question anymore. There are lifeguards everywhere including one standing in the shallow area where all the kids play. Also, as you would expect, there weren't as many people there. The first couple of days, they did not activate the umbrella fountain or any of the slides. It's sad that a tragic accident was required to get safety to such a level. For any perspective members, I would suggest you take a tour and see for yourself.

I have pulled a drowning kid from a pool, it is a very strange happy/lucky feeling!

Have young kids of my own my eyes are always searching, especially around water!

I think you are right, thoughts, harts and prayers go out to the family and of course the little boy!
