Default Hi there

My husband and I have re-located to Austin about a year ago. We're both foreigners and have adjusted to life pretty much here.. It's just that the void of people whom we can call "friends" has still not been met. We have our usual, casual acquaintances, but I'd really like to meet new people with similar intrests. I must admit, I was quite taken aback with the idea of meeting people online, but I'm giving it a shot anyway.

Warm regards
xoxo

well...where are you in Austin and what are your hobbies/interests? Do you have kids or not, do you like to do the bar scene or shopping? Outdoorsy?

If it makes you feel any better we are in the same boat. It is really hard to meet people who want to make friends because at our age people have made their friends. At least that is how it feels. I've meet many people doing the same activities as me but right after we finish the activity everyone just goes their own way. My wife and I are committed to continue trying. You don't quilt or ride road bikes do ya?

What coleslaw said. Meetup.com is a great way to find people who share your interests and then meet them in person.

wow! I quilt! I never thought anybody would ask that on this board

I don't ride bikes, but I do quilt/sew/create (DH doesn't quilt, but he likes them lol). DM me if you're still looking for new friends!
