Flyers don't bother me so much, I get more junk advertising in the newspaper every day that I rarely read and have to recycle, and I'm paying them to deliver it.
I actually like to get flyers telling me about new places that will deliver food to my door.

There is a business in town that hires people to go into neighborhoods and check on the "distributors"...They want photo documentation of the people doing their job, because this insures the taggers are not just picking up their load of flyers and dumping them, then telling the boss "job done". I found this out via craigslist when I responded to a job post...

I only get fliers for local food places. I like getting them. Sometimes you find out about a great new place. What are you people worried about?

The flyers are annoying but I do have sympathy for very small businesses with limited budgets. Plus I do have small children who are happy to collect them for me. I just wish I didn't care about recycling so much b/c it would save me a lot of time if I could find it in my conscience to toss them in the trash. The solicitors drive me crazy though - I really need to get myself a sign. And I've also lived in several places and have NEVER seen as many flyers at my door. It's insane.

The ones on our door aren't food related. They are for landscaping, blinds, painting, house cleaning services, etc., blah, blah, blah. I honestly hate it, everyday I open my front door there are tons of them. It's soooooooooooo annoying.

Flyers might be annoying, but they keep people employed. They arent really that much of a hassle to throw away, and jobs are created. I personally dont even look at flyers before throwing them away, but they dont bother me.

The job market is very scarce and most companies are in a hiring freeze. I had the opportunity to earn income by delivering AT&T Yellow phone books door-to-door as a contractor, but the pay was $.02 (two cents) per book. The homeowners/renters in Fort Smith, Arkansas were very pleasant and didn't mind me being on their property. I have submitted my resume to a lot of job search engines in my quest for employment. I am a full-time college student, and an active Veteran of the Armed Forces, and a mother of 7. I have looked into the opportunity of starting my own flyer and door hanger service. I have to be about my own business inorder to have a job - Mrs. E Hawkins
