Can anyone recommend a savvy immigration attorney in the Austin area with considerable experience in this aspect of law and a proven track record? Actually, any immigration attorney practicing in Texas would be fine.

This information is needed for a dear friend of mine. Unfortunately, she does not speak English very well and has the technical comprehension of a parakeet sitting at a keyboard.

Of course I've searched locally and on the Internet, but the attorneys I've spoken with come across as sadly inept, are uninterested, or are of the "ambulance chaser" variety.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

My husband and I are Green Card holders and our immigration attorney was Paul Parsons. His website: Austin Immigration Lawyer - Board Certified - Paul Parsons P.C. - Home (http://www.immigrate-usa.com/mainweb/ - broken link)

He was excellent, always helpful and knowledgable! Good luck!

Unfortunately I cannot agree. We did our GC process trough his office as well, but we were usually weeks ahead of him. By the time he sent us a notice about what is the next step to be done, we were already ready and done with it. We even had our biometrics taken two weeks before he notified us that we should set up an appointment. Time was not important to him but it was for us, so we pretty much had to handle our own case to get ahead with something at all. And there were some unexpected charges as well...

I agree, it's really hard to find a good immigration attorney, good luck.
