Default fun weekend ideas?

Every weekend my husband and I say we're going to do something, but then can never think of a thing to do. We're boring! So we end up at home, both of us just working.

What do the rest of you do for fun?

We don't have kids, and my husband does not like live music at all (he has hearing issues), and we're not the types to just go to a club and drink the night away. We're in Lakeway and have seen enough of the lake. Any ideas for us?

It's a little hot for Zilker or the gardens. Are there secret spots we've missed in the 10 years we've been here (again, we're not adventurous, so we've probably not seen much other than the typical).?

How can you get tired of the lake???

Have you tried the various Caves? Nice and cool in the summer (or all year round)

I forgot: Hamilton Pool. We just came back from there a few hours ago.

On the weekends, though, you will probably want to go early. Grab a spot under a tree if you get there early enough. If you are up for a .6 mile hike after you get to the bottom, turn left to Pedernales river instead of right to Hamilton Pool. There are porta-potties available but you will want to bring food. The water in the pool was nice today
