That's the first I've heard of it. Did we get a specific location there? I ask because Salt Lick's website won't tell us anything.

It's in the parking lot with the Dell Diamond. It looks pretty darn close to done to me as well.

I was wondering that too. They had the sign up and were just doing landscaping this past weekend.

We received a coupon in our 'welcome' pack and the nice lady who answered the phone said August 15 is the target open date. I'm sure we will be there shortly after .

Holy Cow and Gee Whillikers. Now there will be TWO Salt Licks from which to go and get some not very good cooked meat from various animals.

Does anyone know if they are going to be smoking their own meats, or trucking them in from Driftwood (like the Airport and old 360 location did?)
I really like the Salt Lick. The habanero BBQ sauce is excellent, and the meats are always good.. at least when I go. Maybe I've just been lucky. I was sorry when the 360 location closed down... but that area is like a bermuda triangle for restaurants.

They have an area to the side of it with smokers and a big wood pile, so I'm assuming they'll cook it there.

That is too bad about the 360 location. I thought Davenport Village (really one of my favorite places to drive by in Austin) would be a great vehicle for any restaurant going in. But I will check out the Dell Diamond location on my next visit to the area.
And to almost answer the first question, you'd think they'd equip the place the same way that Driftwood has.
