I nearly did a spit-take all over my monitor! Posts like that should come with a warning.

I know, me too. I couldn't have put too more dissimilar places together if I tried.

Aside from some older bedroom community subdivisions, Hays was until recently a rural ranching and farming county. It bears no similarity to Orange County whatsoever.
Why do you ask?

Hays county is the most beautiful area in the Austin metro- So I guess it would be Williamsom County

I live in Williamson County and would disagree. Williamson, especially East has traditionally been farming and ranching and still is out this way in lots of areas. Unless you mean Cedar Park, but Cedar Park I don't really tag as pretentious yet. I'm thinking Travis County in some areas would be more O.C than any outlying suburbs. Steiner Ranch and some other neighborhoods I can't remember the names of would be more on that bent. Lakeway would be another sort of O.C type area.

The only area in Austin that I can think of as being remotely OC is Westlake and considering that a large percentage of Westlakers are from CA, then I guess it makes sense.

Wrong again, I think.
I agree that Lakeway might resemble what you are talking about - also, I often go to the HEB on Bee Cave/71 around lunchtime and I see a lot of bleach-blonde, physically fit women of all ages who seem to fit the description shopping there.
RE Williamson Co - it has this weird stigma of being "cheaper" than central Austin so the gated-community set probably would not fit in there as much as you think. Definitely Western Travis County if were talking outside of city limits.
