It's just now getting dark over my house, but with our luck nothing will happen.

I feel for y'all down there with the triple digit heat! So, here is my prayer for y'all.

I keep looking at the Austin radar on the internet, hoping to see something over my neighborhood, but alas, nothing. Austin radar does seem to show an unbrella over the area! Topography, perhaps?? Since we're newbies don't know enough about the climatological history to guess whether this is a fluke or a trend. We're working in New Orleans for the next couple of weeks before returning to Austin around Labor Day, and I wish I could send some of what we're getting here over to Austin. A backed-up front is just sitting on the LA coastline. Feels like a frikkin' steambath every time I make a run for the car. Getting web feet again, along with mildew and condensation on the windows. Even the tropicals are yelling "enough already" -- especially the coleus, which is working on root rot from so much rain lately. Sigh. Hard to get balance in weather. Can't manage it in life either!

My myspace friend from Mississippi says she's already sick of having constant rain. I told her to blow it in this direction, we need it worse than she does
