Amy Ice Cream carries them as well.
On a side note Pflugerville has adopted the slogan and created shirts:
"Pflugerville between a rock and a wierd place"

Where? Couldn't find it. My guess is that you're either pointing out that this company has kept jobs in Austin by producing all their products here....or more likely, that all the "Weird" stuff is made in China!!!

You had to read down; it's the last paragraph under the "Keep Austin Weird - Buy More Stuff - Bad Guys Get The Trademark article (the main article on the front page of the original "Keep Austin Weird" website and the reason I posted the link). Yes, the mugs are made in China.

Needs to be a shirt that says "Tried to Keep Austin Weird"
The other side could say, "Keep Austin Commercialized"

Ironically, I find it "weird" that they've commercialized "Keep Austin Weird."
So, maybe it's sort of apropos.

The phrase is rooted in commercialism, though.
Just local (weird?) commercial stuff - it's a pitch for local businesses. A way for them to make $$.
Also, regarding the mugs, there are probably plenty of quaint, local shops that sell things that are made way outside of Austin. It's the business-owner who is local.

But it was originally NOT rooted in commercialism or a pitch for local businesses or a way for them to make money. Red was a librarian at ACC waaayyyyy back when he came up with it and made a few bumper stickers that he passed out (I had one of the originals, but it's on a vehicle long gone, several vehicles ago, in fact). He deliberately didn't commercialize it, and so the vultures swooped in and did so.
It was intended to sort of honor the weirdnesses, places, people, and things, that made (and make) Austin what it is. Not to make money.
