Try the Whole Foods butcher in the Arboretum. They have a great selection.

I paid 20/lb for a prime standing rib roast at central market for xmas. They also had choice (the grades are prime, choice, select) for 13.99/lb. The choice actually didnt look too bad.

Take a look at the marbling, if it is speckled throughout then the meat will have a lot of flavor and be moist. The higher the grade the more evenly distributed the fat. The lower grades either have no fat (too lean) or big chunks of fat (who wants a mouthful of fat?).

You can find meat like a chuck eye with great marbling sometimes and the meat will only be $7-8/lb. Ive even had a chuck roast with great marbling that was as good as a ribeye at $5/lb
