Boot stores in Austin? New or used
Where are the best places in Austin to do some serious boot shopping? For new or used classic cowboy boots (ladies).
Have only visited Allens Boots on South Congress so far...beautiful boots but mostly above the meagre budget of $200...
thanks in advance!

Have you checked out a local goodwill? Don't want that "new boots" look.

I would say that most 'nice' boots start at around $200-$300. Under $200, you are going to maybe get some decent ropers or work boots, but nothing to go dancing in .

There's a boot store on south Congress. We bought our daughter and niece a pair there.

They aren't cheap but you might try the vintage/resale shops around town. There are too many to count but I see nice looking boots every time I'm in one of those places. S 1st(Flashback, The Opera House have some) and SCongress(New Bohemia, UnCommon Objects), S Lamar and N Loop(Room Service) all have a bunch of resale shops. Try Buffalo Exchange on Guadalupe(just be warned that it's hipster/student central!)
Funny, but I found a cool pair at a vintage shop back when I was still in Cleveland, Ohio for $40. They aren't the fanciest but they get the job done! The prices are totally inflated here, especially Allen's.
