Default Round Rock West (620 Area)

For those living in this area of Round Rock, there are some interesting developments/improvements planned for the next year. Most interesting to me personally is the extension of O'Connor Drive to Toll 45 beginning in AUG09 (so convenient).

FM 620

Ah, I guess it is the first friday of the month so time for that newspaper to come out.

The extension to 45 would be great for that area if/when the connector from 45 EB to 35SB is built to avoid the lights and get kicked right onto 35. I come from East RR and would love a 45WB to 35SB ramp... I'd pay 40 or 50 cents to jump on that every now and then.

I agree with PP about loving a 45EB or 45WB to 35SB ramp. I don't understand why they didn't build that in the first place. Coming from East RR myself, it's more efficient to drive thru pflugerville to get to 35SB imho.. and it still takes awhile.

What's it going to do to property values along the new construction?

Default Round Rock West (620 Area)

Just a couple of notes on previous posts. The ramps south of 45 (NB 35 SB 35) were not built because at this time the traffic demands are not there. At least they prepared for the ramps at a later date by installing the necessary supports.

Property values continue to go up in the area and hopefully will continue to do so. If it is easy to access major roads, shopping, entertainment schools etc. from an area, history shows that the property values should go up.

As far as the O'Connor Extension from 620 to 45, it will most likely be a toll intersection of 45 if you want to get on 45. The extension was budgeted but the funds are not there to build the interchange at 45. TxDOT pulled funding and left everyone hanging so the only way at this point in time to get it built is to make it a toll interchange.
