Southwest Austin is the best place. For starters, everyplace that opens southwest is instantly packed. Except for Village Inn. Compare Chuy's southwest, to Village Inn. and try to draw conclusions. What southwest people really want is locally owned businesses. Which is why Chuy's is doing gangbusters business.

So I'd look off William Cannon, David, or Slaughter. Seems like there's a lot of new retail stuff being built right now down in that area and the places aren't opening fast enough for the population.

No, I don't think so. I live on S 1st and there are SEVERAL places like that already here.

This sounds more like it. That area has grown so fast and like many have already mentioned, is lacking locally-owned businesses.

I'd never heard of Jersey Mikes until I moved to SoCal (and I'm from the east coast!). We had a bunch of them out there.

They're GOOD! I'm psyched there's one in Austin!

(I want a sub right now)

I ate at the Jersey Mike's at Southpark Meadows a couple of days ago, and it was delcious. Probably the freshest bread I've ever had at a sub place. I'll definitely be going back often!

Is the OP set on Austin or would you consider other cities for your business?
