Default Pest Control that is thorough

I'm looking for a pest control service that is willing to plug all the holes where bugs can enter our home (I've read in previous posts that this is one of the best things to do for prevention) as part of their initial service, along with the routine spraying.....anyone have any experience with/recommendations of a pest control business that is willing to do this?

One that has reasonable rates would also be a bonus!

Thanks in advance!

Default pest control

We signed up for a year service with ABC Pest and Lawn few years ago - on the first service call they placed copper wool in all the weep holes. I dont remember the price, but I am sure it has gone up since then anyway.

Good Luck

I work for one of the top 50 Pest Control companies in the United States, we service CT if that is where you're from. Any honest pest control company should tell you there is no way to pest proof your home, you can make sure windows close properly and screen are free of holes, however may pests find there way in and the best you can do is suppress activity and do crack & crevice treatments seasonally and preventatively. You can however seal holes, and cracks in the foundation and in your attic, etc. to reduce rodent entry points. They should also be willing to do a free inspection, and provide you with a free estimate on how to do these things.

What he said,

You can't get rid of ALL the bugs in your house unless you spray every day or something crazy like that but then it will probably kill you!

I can't help but say something here. I found this forum by accident while shearching for some weather info., I find it interesting so I look in every day or so. I have noticed something kinda strange, all the post about people freaking out on bugs, rats, mice etc....

Are you all real young or something and just don't know that these cridders were here before us, or are you from some part of this world that does not have bugs?

You'd be suprised how many calls you get for the "one ant that crawled under the fridge" But to be honest, if it wasnt for those people who do not in any way shape or form want to share their living space with the insect population, pest control companies like us would not thrive and exist as well as they do now. So hats off to everyone who calls when ever they see a fly in house!!

We use Real Green and it has been awesome. During the first visit he went through the whole inside of the house and sprayed outside, knocked down all the wasp nests, and treated the yard for fire ants. Best money I have ever spent. It is around $35/month. Lawn Care Austin - Austin Lawn Care Service - Fertilization Austin Weed Control Service

Some pest control companies do a better job than others, which is why I asked. I don't think I was 'freaking out on bugs, rats, mice etc' with this question.
