Fish Tacos
In an attempt to balance my submarine sandwich /cheap tex-mex & bbq & sides lunch diet...... i'm in the mood for fish tacos. I've been to Berryhills on 360 (& i really like it). But would love to find a place that's more of a "joint", a grab n go kind of place.
& while i'm at it, i'd love to find a good seafood "joint" (grab n go) or sit down place (for lunch) that wouldn't take a 20 dollar bill with no change or 90 minutes of my time.
Thanks!

Are those still around?!? We used to go to the local Del Taco in G'town back in the early 80s....it was actually quite good (at least in 25 year old hindsight, anyway), but Taco Bell put them out of business, apparently....

I love Del Taco...grew up on it in CA. I didn't think they had them here.
Oh, and LaSalsa on Far West or 360 (in the center with the B&N) has fish tacos and burritos. My husband loves them. I prefer the chicken myself

Thanks Austin Guy....I'll check out Wahoo's. I remember an Amex ad (or something) a few year back with them featured.
& to pbnj (cool handle btw) mesa rosa is on one of my routes....i'll check it out. weird they don't have a menu on their website.
mandib....i've been to la salsa. I didn't remember they have fish tacos. Just the type of "grab n go" place i was hoping for. Thanks!

Zuzu's (2222 Mopac or Bee Caves & 360) has yummy fish tacos. They have mahi mahi, catfish, or shrimp. The BBQ catfish tacos (when they have them) are excellent.

Trainwreck-
No Del Taco in ATX or probably in Texas. Del-Taco is awesome!
When I was in Colorado, I stopped in one. Almost every day of the week we stopped in and got some grub. Man its really good, blows Taco-Bell out of the water. You get more taco for the money, plus they offer french fries, pretty weird, huh?
The hot sauce also dang good for fast food joint.
Love to see couple swing around here in Austin.

We can only wish.
If anyone ever gets the chance, go to the one in Lenwood Ca., between Las Vegas & LA. It is an independent Del-Taco and is the best Del-Taco in the world.
I would pay double for an original Taco Bell (Pre-Pepsi). It brings tears to my eyes thinking how this place was destroyed by Pepsi in the early 90's.
