Why do they not allow gambling in Texas when they have the lottery and bingo halls? Is it the churches and citizens that dont want it or is it the state government? in san diego they have three to four major indian reservations where you can gamble. They give millions back to the state and millions back to the community.Places to gamble like Indian Reservastions help to take alot of the criminal element away from gambling.ie bookies and underground gambling.I just dont understand?

Most of Texas outside the big cities is very conservative and gambling is preached as an evil to society in those towns, mainly through the pastors.

If you want to gamble, just drive east 6 hours to Lake Charles, some really good gambling there!

4.5 hours gets one to Winstar, the worlds biggest casino. Or one could make the drive to the only casino in Texas down on the Rio
Grand River at Eagle Pass.
