Where to buy a ready-cooked Turkey for Thanksgiving?
Anyone here know where in Austin I can order a fresh locally-cooked ready-cooked Turkey for Thanksgiving?
I'd like to try a deep-fried one if possible!
In NW Austin, preferably....
thanks

Louisiana Longhorn (in Round Rock, not NW Austin, but worth it) is selling Turkeys (fried and traditional, I believe - I know fried) this year.
Sambets also used to have fried turkeys, but I don't know if they still do.

Costco has smoked turkeys that are awesome, you just put it in the oven for a couple of hours I think, and they're good to go.
Also, believe it or not, Popeye's Chicken is supposed to sell some pretty mean fried turkeys during the holidays. Not sure if they still do, but you might want to look into it.

Thanks for the suggestions - will check them out! Sambets is right on my doorstep
BTW I guess I should have said I'm hoping to get one freshly deep-fried/cooked locally - rather than one cooked, shrink-wrapped and sold in a supermarket!!!

Threadgills used to do a nice one. Most of the grocers do it too - Central Market, Whole Foods, etc.
