Default Calculating take-home pay
Any ideas on how I can calculate my take-home pay based on a yearly figure? I know there's no income tax in TX, but I have no idea of what the other taxes/social security add up to. I'm married.

Lots of variables, but take home pay usually comes out to 70-75% of salary, once you take out taxes, but it depends on your insurance, tax bracket, deductions, etc. I guess you could google for some calculation web sites, but I am not sure what information you would need to get a useful answer.

Always plan/budget for the worst - I would suggest just assume your take home will be 70% so anything else is bonus and your not maxed to the Ts.
