Well if you see it like financial sense yes, but this school its a bilingual school, and my kids love going there; I wouldn't afford to pay for 3 kids to go anywhere and that's why I got this job, for my kids. But know it seems that she thinks I have to do whatever she says because I don't pay for my kid's tuition.

However, it seems like it makes more financial sense to pull them out and stay home with them.
Agreed on the last point, but it's hard to say definitely without knowing about the spouse's salary.

I think we're loosing our point here; my post was about me not making any money and plus my boss wanted me there at hours we did not agreed just because she wants it. There are several things around school that I do not like but my kids do like going there. So besides that I'm not making any money and it doesn't make financial sense. I quitted already today but she might ask me to go back and I do not know if say yes or not, I'm not sure if I rather just stay home.

If my job ONLY paid for my children's daycare and there was no other income from that job, it would be such an easy decision to stay home with the kids and spend more time with them. They might like the school, but you're working and getting nothing in return except their daycare.

Take them out, spend time with them. Take them to the park, the zoo, the museums... educate them about what's out in the world. Join social groups. Mother's day out programs. There is so much more you could do besides working for FREE. That's all you're doing. My daughter turns 1 on Sunday. I've been in the infant rooms at the daycare. It gets really stressful at times. Why take on that stress of pleasing a boss who is not treating you fair, when you have the choice to stay home.

However, the better option would be to find a different job paying more so you can actually bring home a paycheck, but if that's not an option, I don't see how this is a hard decision...

In Texas the infant teacher ratio is 4:1, so as a parent I would complain too!

Most daycares and preschools I have come across allow each staff member one spot for their own child sometimes free or at a reduced cost.

If I were in your situation, I would be a SAHM until 1 or 2 of my children went to elementary school. It doesn't make financial sense to work for nothing. If it's the socialization you want for your children, join a playgroup.

I agree with the above. I wouldn't work for nothing. The kids can get socialization with other children in different ways/different groups. Or find a job with a parents day out program. They don't pay a lot, but it's a lot better than working for nothing for them to go to "school". My daughter is in Kindergarden right now, but last year I went to work at the PDO she went to and got a small salary + a very nice discount for her to attend ($65 a month and she loved her teacher and learned how to do the basics like write her name, alphabet, sounds...enough so she was ready for Kindergarten). I work in the 18 month old class, by the way I also have my daughter in a local playgroup and they do all sorts of fun things. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of stress and don't go back there. It sounds like she's taking advantage of you. When you go apply at some parents Day Out programs, you can explain why you left. Many of them won't hold it against you and you don't have to list that woman as a reference. You can find many of these programs at area churches. The one I work at is based in a church.

You could send the older child, 5 years, to public school, that would save you some money.

Yes, good idea. The 5 yr. old could go to public pre k or even Kindergarden if they are old enough.
