Default construction jobs in austin texas area

i live in phx arizona and im moving to the austin texas area im a heavy equipment operator like loaders backhoes scrapers was wondering if there is alot of work there would it be hard for me to get a job there right now?

Things are slow, but it's not impossible. It will require lots of footwork. My husband is a truck driver (owner/operator), not heavy equipment, but, like I posted in the other thread, you may be able to find something. His truck was stolen so he had to find something as an employee. You won't find a lot in the paper, but look online and go through the phone book as well. He found quarries, construction, and heavy hauling type jobs. Lots of them require some travel (not real far, but some overnights maybe).
