Here are the photos I took today. Orion, I can get you some other pics of River Place as I will be taking some this week for a website I am building for the community. BTW, I could be wrong but I don't think that the Senna Hills community is considered to be in Westlake. It is in Eanes ISD but it seems pretty far west to be considered Westlake.

Thanks so much Gigi ... all pics are appreciated, even the "bad" shot of County Line (which wasn't bad at all)! Yes, I believe you're right about Senna Hills, but am more looking to be in either the Eanes ISD OR the Steiner Ranch / River Place area. Don't much care what the neighborhood is called (especially if Westlake has an "air" about it ... that's one of the reasons we've stayed away from places like Del Mar and La Jolla in the San Diego area).

Please keep the pictures coming if you can!! The ones of the roads showing what's along them are the most useful to me, but again , ALL are great!!

No problem! I actually verified and Senna Hills is indeed considered Westlake, so my bad!

I took a bunch of shots of River Place this morning right before sunrise. I'll upload them later!

Husband and I actually ended up being in Steiner Ranch this morning, so I took a boatload of shots for y'all. I loaded them into Shutterfly so as not to weigh this thread down. Go here to view slideshow:

All praise Gigi !!
Thanks again; I have a much better "feel" for Steiner now. Please keep 'em coming if you can; if you ever find yourself in Westlake please snap away, especially the Bella Lago (Cuernavaca peninsula) area!! I hear there's a community park there but can find only a couple of generic pictures.

Off topic but I'll go there anyway ... I have a question for you about River Place ... I understand there's a country club there; do you know the approx membership fees for a fam of four? What do you like about River Place compared to Steiner?

Target at 2222 just south of 620. Reason I post this is it kind of shows how set back off the road a lot of the retail is here - we almost missed this Target the first time we looked for it - the new Wal Mart is similarly hidden with greenbelt and trees.

Default Reviving this thread

I'm free this weekend to go out and take more pics of particular areas in/around Austin. The camera is charged and the lenses are clean.

Let me know.

Dan

Dan, could you please take some pics in the Balcones area if you find yourself in that part of town?
Also any pics of Lake Travis would be great! Its been 10 years since we were in Austin...and on the lake.
Thanks
