Default Tubing in the area

I am wondering what the best places are to go tubing in the Austin area. I have been tubing on the Comal in San Marcos, but not the Guadalupe or Pedernales. Does anyone know if these are good places to go? Fun? Crowded? Lots of rapids or slow going?

The Guadalupe is my favorite. It's the party river and the right amount of crowded.

The Comal has all the new rules. No jello shots or music. Boo.

This page has more details and coupons for all the outfitters.

The Comal River is in New Braunfels & empties into the Guadalupe near the I 35 bridge, fwiw.

The Guadalupe also flows thru New Braunfels/Gruene.

Just make sure the water is not low on the Guadalupe otherwise a 4 hour ride can become 7. The Guadalupe is a fun river to tube down.

A low water level Guad ride stinks. Be prepared to get your rear end seriously bumped on rocks and get up and walk.

I did the Comal 2 weeks ago and didn't have the Stazi interrogation that others have reported. I probably just got lucky, though.
