No they don't. With the annual Xmas shutdown, the next day off is Memorial Day. Oh, I guess I mean next PAID day off.

Heh, we are not hi-tech, and all we get off are new year's, memorial, labor, 4th, Thanksgiving (x2), and Christmas. 6 days . I sometimes miss the days as a state employee....

State employees get all kinds of days off!

March 2nd, yes? (Texas Independence Day) and isn't there some other holiday in May?

When I worked at the state some years ago, you got at least one day off per month, except October, which had no holidays. On paper, I think you got 18 or 19 days for holiday, but in reality, you ended up getting ~11 or 12, I think, because of overlapping holidays or holidays that fell on the weekend.
